Still Hoping for a Miracle on Election Day?

A Family of 4 Prays Together

What would happen if every American who is deeply concerned about America’s future and can’t stand the thought of either of the top candidates as president decided to fast and pray for their country before the election?

Miracles.

That why I’m calling for November 6th to be a nation-wide day of fasting, prayer, and repentance.

Maybe the miracle is we end up with a different, better president.

Maybe the miracle is that each person who sincerely participates ends up prepared for the challenges of the next 4 years.

Maybe the miracle is peace … peace of heart and peace of mind. Many of us could use that miracle right about now.

All I know is that we need God’s help. And I know God will help us if we’ll let Him.

I believe this is how we let him.

I invite you to do these 4 small and simple things.

  1. Share this idea.
  2. Fast with a purpose.
  3. Pray.
  4. Repent.

The more voices of faith God hears, the more blessings America will receive.

The #1 reason we’re having such a hard time getting a good candidate considered is that few believe we can elect a principled leader who loves the real idea of America and will fulfill their oath of office, because it would require (in this election at least) voting for a 3rd-party candidate.

We may or may not be able to unite around a legit constitutional conservative like Darrell Castle in time for him to win outright, but we can get on the same page quick enough to all fast, pray, and repent on the same day.

Fast with a purpose and donate to a cause

Let’s all begin a 24-hour fast after dinner on Saturday, November 5th, at 8 PM Central Time.

Fasting shows a sign to God that we’re willing to be master of ourselves instead of always being subject to our appetites.

Let’s (for those who are able … please don’t put your health at risk for this) go without breakfast and lunch on the 6th and then donate to a charity the money we would have spent.

If you can’t go without food, go without something else that is challenging for you, but still donate!

At the start of the fast, let’s pray and consecrate our fast as a prayer of hope and faith that God will bless our country and protect it from corrupt, opportunistic, and conspiring tyranny. Let’s let God know that we’ll accept His will, whatever it may be, and that we’ll grow in faith regardless of the outcome of the election.

With faith, let’s invite His help.

Repent

I’m not trying to be preachy with this one. It’s just that I know God loves to see us repent. HE LOVES IT! After all, His Son died to give us this gift.

Let’s make some time to reflect and sincerely repent during our fast.

Consider the following scripture from 2nd Timothy 3:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Let’s consider whether any of these attributes are living within us. If so, let’s confess to God and to any people we’ve hurt and ask for forgiveness.

Let’s let God know we’re willing to change and to follow Him. Let’s ask for His help.

Pray

At the close of the fast, let’s all pray at the same time on Sunday, November 6th, at 8:00 PM Central Time. Let’s pray and ask God to protect our country from enemies both foreign and domestic and to fill us with strength to defend the idea of America found in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution‘s Bill of Rights.

Believe in miracles. Hope is never lost!

What will happen when millions of Americans unite in fasting, prayer, and repentance at the same time and for the same reasons?

Miracles.

🙂

*UPDATE: I wrote this article on October 12th. Later that night I received an email from a family member calling for a major prayer movement. The very next day I got a Facebook invite from another family member to an event called Nation Wide Fast, which calls for a nation wide fast on the exact same day I’m calling for a nation wide fast. To my knowledge neither of the family members knew I had published this article. I believe it’s more than coincidence that this is all happening at the same time.
